Carrier Air Wing 66 is a DCS World virtual squadron/community listed in the Combined Ops global directory.

CVW-66 is a EU based virtual community simulating carrier based aviation in DCS WorldCarrier Air Wing 66 is a DCS World PVE multiplayer group, centred on US Navy fighters and
operations.

We can be considered a ‘hard-core’ unit, in that we emphasise training, qualifications and dedicated
pilots that fly together over an extended period using realistic tactics, techniques and procedures.
We currently operate two (fictional) US Navy squadrons; VF-119 "Tridents", flying the F-14B Tomcat
and VFA-166 "Maulers", flying the F/A-18C Hornet.
Our student pilots (or ‘nuggets’ as they are called in the US Navy), progress through a qualifications
program, where they learn the basic skills in aircraft handling and procedures (IQ), as well as basic
weapons and tactics (MQ) and of course, carrier qualifications (CQ). After successfully completing IQ
and CQ, you join the Wing on 'Cruise', which is our take on a dynamic campaign.
