What is CARAIRWING EIGHTEEN
CARAIRWING EIGHTEEN, or Carrier Air Wing 18, is a realism-focused DCS Unit Comprising CVW-18, MAG-61, and TAW-9. CVW-18 is the overarching name for the group as it comprises most of the squadrons and personnel. CVW-18 defines realism-focused as "Proving the most realistic in mission experience while not limiting weapons or aircraft usage to a specific point in time."
We employ the F-14B, F/A-18C, AV-8B II, A-4E-C, OV-10A, MH-60S, UH-1N, as well as the T-45C for training. These modules give our members clear paths forward without requiring them to buy a single module. We keep our entrance requirements slim, a working microphone, a throttle and stick that can be used for DCS, and a willingness to learn.
