Mission Planning & Airspace Control Update: F-16 Takeoff Roll Trim and New BRAA Tool
Today’s update may be small in size, but it brings two significant quality-of-life improvements for mission planning and virtual Airspace Control.
DCS Mission Planner: F-16 TOLD Update
We’ve enhanced the Takeoff and Landing Data (TOLD) calculations for the F-16 Viper. The planner now includes Takeoff Roll Trim with Asymmetric Stores. This allows pilots to calculate the exact trim requirements needed to compensate for uneven wing loading before even hitting the runway, ensuring a smoother and safer departure.
DCS Airspace: New BRAA Mode
For our controllers and GCI operators, DCS Airspace just got a lot more intuitive. The measurement tool now features a dedicated BRAA mode:
How to use it: Hold LAlt to use the standard measurement tool; add LCtrl to LAlt and the tool switches to BRAA mode, rounding values for quick communication and displaying the full BRAA (Bearing, Range, Altitude, Aspect) for any tracks under your cursor.
